My name is Tim. I'm a product design leader who lives in San Francisco. I recently transitioned into consulting after several years leading experience design teams for software and hardware startups. During the last two years, I've worked as the lead designer for Life360, as interim Head of Design at Front, and as a design manager for several teams at Airbnb.
Before moving to the West Coast, I was the VP of Product and Design at Canary, a startup making the world’s first home security device for everyone. I co-authored Kern and Burn: Conversations With Design Entrepreneurs, co-founded The People's Pennant, and was a former partner at The Infantree.
Previously, I worked at Shake Law, Betaworks, and IDEO solving human problems with design-lead solutions. I received my MFA in design from the Maryland Institute College of Art, and now live in California where I spend free time throwing pottery, playing fantasy football, and thinking about Amish craftsmanship.
